History and General Information

The Law Office of W. William Robinson, III opened it's doors at 316 South Main Street in Emporia, Virginia on the 4th day of August 2008. We are a general practice law office with the exception of federal law, bankruptcy, worker's compensation and social security/disability.

While the firm's focus tends to be on Criminal and Traffic representation, there is ample experience in areas such as Real Estate, Wills and Trusts, Contracts, General Civil and Personal Injury. The firm's foundation is honest, ethical and loyal representation of all of its clients through hard work; and the goal is timely, result oriented case resolution.

                        Sarah E. Catherman


Biography:

Sarah E. Catherman is an attorney at The Law Office of W. William Robinson, III practicing primarily within the areas of criminal defense and traffic law. She is currently working to expand her practice into the civil arena. Sarah was admitted to practice law in Virginia and the United Stated District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia in 2014. She was recently appointed to serve on the Virginia Medical Malpractice Review Board by the Virginia Supreme Court.

Sarah is a former Magistrate for the 6 th and 15 th Judicial Districts of Virginia, having served primarily within the counties of Prince George, Surry, Hanover, and Caroline, the City of Hopewell, and the Town of Ashland. Her previous experience also includes legal internships with the Henrico Commonwealth’s Attorney Office, Ohio Attorney General’s Office, and Blanchard Valley Health System and a Judicial
Externship with the Honorable Judge Ingraham of the Mercer County Court of Common Pleas in Celina, Ohio. In addition, Sarah has worked as an Adult Mental Health Crisis Counselor and possesses seven years of experience working with local police departments.


Sarah first moved to Virginia in 2004. She was born and raised in a small town in central Maine and greatly enjoys practicing law in the similarly-sized community of Emporia. Sarah pursued her undergraduate degree from Liberty University, graduating with honors with degrees in Criminal Justice. She then attended law school at the Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law, where she graduated cum laude, earned multiple merit scholarships and awards, and served various leadership positions within the Icelandic Legal Exchange and Criminal Law Societies. Additionally, in 2012, Sarah was one of four students chosen to represent ONU Law by traveling to Iceland to study the Icelandic legal system. Sarah and her husband now reside in Prince George County in a house full of animals. In her free time, Sarah enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time outside.
